This is a therapeutic process that combines traditional counselling with the physical exercise of walking. Walking while doing therapy helps us to feel like we are moving forward, to a place of greater understanding and clarity.
Walking and being outdoors may help us to open our minds, think more clearly and move through what may be getting in the way to a place where we can see more possibilities and are more able to manage our lives; it promotes positive mood changes, feelings of well-being and a sense of inner calm.
